Los Rojillos holds closed training session at El Sadar
Club Atlético Osasuna returned to the training pitch for a closed-door session at El Sadar on Wednesday morning, starting preparations to host FC Barcelona on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. local time (8 p.m. BST, 3 p.m. ET). Head coach Alessio Lisci led a session that included rondos, evolutions and tactical drills. Affiliate goalkeeper Dimitrios Stamatakis, defenders Asier Larrión and Mikel Ansó, and forward Carlos Lumbreras joined the first team.
Forward Víctor Muñoz missed the session due to an injury to his left soleus muscle. Midfielder Aimar was out because of cervical discomfort suffered during the Sevilla match. Defender Juan Cruz participated in part of the session after missing the previous game. Defender Javi Galán did not train due to a personal matter.
The team will return to El Sadar on Thursday morning for a special training session, hosting 6,000 children from schools across Navarre as part of the Aula Rojilla program. For security reasons, Thursday’s session will be closed to the public, but fans are welcome at Friday’s session, the final practice before facing Barcelona.
